Queensland Container Refund Scheme

If you're in Queensland and you haven't heard the latest news, there's a new recycling scheme that's coming to Queensland and will be starting on the 1st November, 2018.

As a state, Queensland has one of the lowest recycling rates in Australia, at around 44%. To help Queensland improve it's recycling rate, the Queensland Containers for Change scheme will allow people to get a 10 cent refund for each eligible container returned to a container refund point.
There will be more than 230 refund sites available across Queensland and there will be more sites added in the future.

To find out more about this scheme, visit the Containers For Change website.
To find out which containers are eligible, visit the Eligible Containers page on the Queensland Government's website.
