Andrew started with Idealpos in 2015 and brings with him over 20 years IT technical knowledge. He is a family man who enjoys running trails and ultra-marathons and enjoys landscape photography, reading and spending time with his family.

In the age of Idealpos Solutions, I am a newcomer to the POS world. But in the IT world, I bring with me 23 years of experience from working in regional New South Wales, where I had to be a jack of all trades whether it was in the office or out on-site. I started with a small IT company where I walked in and asked for two weeks’ work experience, and left 17 years later after running the Northern Rivers division of the business.  After moving to Brisbane, I came to Idealpos in the beginning of 2015. I have found that it is one of the most important things in life to be happy with your work environment, and that is what Idealpos brings to its staff. I am part of the wholesale support team which means on any given day I am speaking with our wholesalers in a wide range of cities and countries, and that in itself brings an interesting element to my job that compliments the flow of new daily challenges and problems to solve.

In the small amount of time I have been at Idealpos, I have seen the company grow at a great rate, with expansions, new developments, and staff. It’s exciting to be part of a growing business and one that is moving with the industry.

The one thing I love about my job is the constant learning environment that we are in because of the wide and growing spectrum of supported features, including table ordering, stocktake, hospitality and e-commerce solutions. This certainly keeps us busy in wholesale support! With the implementation of the Freshdesk ticketing system in 2016, we have constantly been expanding our knowledge base of solutions and tips for our wholesalers. I had the pleasure of hiking the Oxfam 100km in 2016 with some fellow Idealpos staffers (Alex, Gerry, and Louis).  It’s this sort of teamwork that Idealpos brings to the table on a daily basis, and this year we have another team doing the 2017 Oxfam 100km (Alex, Anthony, Jake, and Louis).
